Melamine – Just The Tip Of The Iceberg?
Last year we saw the beginning of the dam break with the melamine contaminated wheat and rice glutens coming from China. This year, we saw that melamine was found in dried milk used in baby food and chocolate. All of this appears to be just the tip of the iceberg.
The privately held news company, Epoch Times, recently released a news story about a veterinarian who worked at a Chinese animal pharmaceutical company who has gone public with information exposing corruption in China’s animal feed industry. Besides melamine, a lot of manufacturers are using large doses of Rh proteins, Lipiodol, and Clenbuterol just to name a few. These ingredients are used to accelerate the growth rate of animals. Another report says Chinese companies are adding rhodium iodide to animal feed. Some of these additives are more dangerous than melamine because they can have cancer causing effects.
